The Role / Are You Up For The Challenge?

This key role involves undertaking prequalification, preparing tenders, letting of contracts and providing contract administration services to manage the commercial and legal aspects of the contracts on a major project.

You will be responsible for working closely with various sub-contractors across multiple sites to ensure works are delivered in accordance with the project's requirements.

The role is primarily based out of our main office but may involve travel to construction sites to ensure project deliverables are achieved in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Project Overview

A major infrastructure project is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting two cities via regional areas.

The project involves approximately 305 kms of existing rail corridor between Beveridge and Albury.

Responsibilities Of The Role Include;
* Overall responsibility includes drafting scopes of works and tender packages, interpreting specifications and drawings, conducting prequalification, managing the review process, operating and maintaining commercial and contract systems.
* Minimise subcontractor variation claims, ensure cost forecasting, manage subcontractors to maintain Code compliance, assess commercial and contractual risks, check compliance and prepare reporting.
* Prepare payment schedules and process payments in a timely manner.
To Be Successful In This Key Role, You Must Have;

We are looking for someone with a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalent, and relevant commercial administration experience in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or associated disciplines.

* 5-7 years' experience working as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction and engineering industry desirable.
