About the Role
JBS Pork Australia is seeking an Asset Accountant to join our team in Corowa, NSW on a permanent full‑time basis. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role is responsible for overseeing fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of capital and leased assets. You'll play a key role in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to strategic asset management across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Fixed Asset Reporting – Prepare and analyse CAPEX reports and reconciliations across weekly, monthly, and annual cycles.
* Asset Management – Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and transfers of assets.
* Capital Projects Oversight – Partner with business units to manage capital budgets, project spend, and administrative tasks.
* Lease & ROU Asset Accounting – Collaborate with stakeholders and Head Office to ensure compliance with AASB16/IFRS16.
* Business Partnering & Insights – Support leaders with data‑driven insights to improve cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
About You
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
2. CPA or CA qualification (or currently working towards) preferred.
3. Strong performance mindset with a focus on results and value creation.
4. Adaptable and proactive with excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Ability to positively influence and collaborate across teams.
6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems.
7. Valid driver's licence.
