This is an exciting time to join NRW Civil and Mining as we are now seeking experienced HSE Advisors for newly awarded work in Darwin. These roles will be offered on a DIDO basis from Darwin on a 2:2 roster.
To be considered for this position you must possess the following as a minimum:
* Substantial experience working in a HSE Advisor capacity in a mining environment
* Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
* ICAM or similar investigation lead tool experience
* Current First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
* Drivers Licence
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Have strong computer skills including the use of MS Office Suite and incident management systems
* Previous experience in a site-based role
* Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act and (Mines) Regulations
As a HSE Advisor on our site you will be responsible for but not limited to:
* Assisting the project team to ensure all activities are completed throughout planning, delivery and implementation
* Assisting Supervisors in the training of employees in hazard and incident prevention
* Conducting, managing and reporting on all HSE incident investigations inclusive of development and implementation of corrective actions
* Conducting regular inspections of HSE processes, systems, programs and site location work environments
* Develop and present innovative ideas and solutions which provide a balance between productivity and the safety of team members, subcontractors and visitors
* Develop, implement and support HSE education and training programs to create and improve HSE awareness
* Champion health and safety on site
