**About the Role**
We are hiring Scrum Masters to facilitate agile delivery practices within our cross-functional teams. Primary focus of this role is to coach and enable teams in Agile ways of working. Acting as a Coach, the Scrum Master will guide multiple delivery teams, ensuring adherence to agile principles and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices. This includes efficient execution of Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Responsibilities extend to removing obstacles, fostering collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement. Additionally, the Scrum Master will assist the Release Train Engineer (RTE) in synchronizing multiple agile teams, aligning priorities, and driving the delivery of complex systems and solutions with significant budgets. A Day in the Life of a Scrum Master at UTS!
- Facilitate and support Agile practices by guiding cross-functional teams in implementing Agile principles and ceremonies to improve efficiency and deliver quality outcomes.
- Ensure timely completion of all scrum-based activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Enhance team productivity by removing obstacles and fostering a culture of continuous improvement for successful project delivery.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication among team members and stakeholders to enhance transparency and efficient problem-solving.
- Coach teams on developing better alignment with business and technology stakeholders, other Agile Release Trains Drive the adoption of Agile principles and practices, contribute to professional growth, and stay updated on industry trends to foster a culture of adaptability and innovation.
- Act as a change agent and help leaders and teams embrace Agile values such as adaptability, customer-centricity, and empowerment, and support the shift from traditional command-and-control structures to self-organizing, autonomous teams.
**About You**
- Knowledge of higher education business processes and systems is highly advantageous.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and experience, or equivalent knowledge gained through education, training, or experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master in an IT environment, within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) context.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching teams in ways of working.
- Expert knowledge with hands-on experience in Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, practices, and ceremonies, with the ability to effectively guide and coach teams.
- Proven experience in leading technology and IT infrastructure teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of conducting effective stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative, cross-functional environment that promotes trust, continuous improvement, and successful outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to empower teams to operate autonomously, make informed decisions, and deliver high-quality results.

**Remuneration**
A competitive and comprehensive remuneration package will be offered.
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
