Job Description
Safran has significant expertise, products, and market penetration within Defence, Electronics, Space, and Aerospace globally and within Australasia. The role will focus on expanding the company's offerings in Guided Weapons, Position Navigation and Timing, Navigation Warfare, and Space.
Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, the Sales Manager is responsible for Strategy, Business Development, Proposal Development, and Negotiations for selected pursuits, contributing to Capture Management and other downstream sales activities.
Responsibilities
* Sales of Safran E&D (commercial and military) equipment, systems, and services
* Area of Operations: Australia & New Zealand
* Build and maintain customer relationships
* Implement SEDA business strategy
* Contract negotiation and bid preparation
* Develop business and capture plans
* Establish market surveys and benchmark SEDA products and services
* Organize local seminars, exhibitions, and conferences
* Author white papers and serve as conference speaker
* Define mid-term and long-term business development plans
* Collaborate on yearly sales objectives
Complementary Responsibilities
* Lead sales activities (commercial and defense) for equipment, systems, and services in the domain markets
* Manage responses to tenders such as ASDEFCON
* Handle all aspects of customer relationship management
* Implement local business strategies
* Develop business and capture plans for local markets
* Organize seminars, exhibitions, and conferences
* Prepare white papers and speak at conferences
* Coordinate with programs and engineering teams for trials with Defence
* Travel domestically and internationally as required
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
Tertiary education in business, science, or engineering preferred.
Extensive experience in Defence, CASG, or Defence Industry, including successful business development.
Australian Citizenship with current or potential AGSVA Security Clearance.
Knowledge of GNSS, Navigation, Optronics, and Optical Systems advantageous.
