Support Medical Secretary – Radiology

Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Support Medical Secretary to join our expanding team in the Radiology Department. Applicants should have appropriate experience working in a medical environment and demonstrate a background in office administration with the ability to liaise with all relevant departments within the Trust. Being a team player with first‐rate organisational skills is essential.
Main Duties
* Provide secretarial support to the Radiology Department as part of a team.
* Work across all specialties to ensure timely despatch of radiology reports to general practitioners and consultants.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ III or equivalent experience – Essential
* RSA II/III Typing or word processing – Essential
* Knowledge of medical terminology – Essential
* Audio typing – Essential
* AMSPAR Diploma – Desirable
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) – Desirable
Skills
* Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, both internal and external – Essential
* Ability to work as a member of a team – Essential
* Excellent interpersonal skills – Essential
* Knowledge of Data Protection – Essential
* Flexible working approach – Essential

* Previous secretarial experience with knowledge of secretarial/administrative procedures and systems – Essential
