This is a permanent part- time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2026
Southern Cross District High School (SCDHS), located in the Eastern Wheatbelt, provides high quality education and a holistic approach for our 50 students from Kindergarten to Year 10. Our small student population enables our dedicated team to get to know our students and families and offer a personalised learning environment, whilst also providing curriculum that is relevant and meets the needs of our students. We have strong teacher expertise and high-quality resourcing.

The Role
Join our team as a Gardener - Handyperson and contribute to fostering a positive learning environment! As a key member, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the school grounds, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and conducive to a positive environment for both students and staff. From overseeing the turf areas, garden beds, and shrubs to managing hard landscaping features like courts and paving, you'll play a vital role in creating an inviting and inspiring outdoor space.
Your commitment to maintaining gardening facilities, equipment, and tools in a good condition will be integral to promoting a positive culture within the school. Collaborate with the Manager of Corporate Services to develop safe work procedures, undertake risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation.
