Executive Manager, Organisational Development

St Agnes' Catholic Parish is a not-for-profit organisation that has been serving the Port Macquarie community since 1878, offering compassionate support to people of all ages and life stages.

With over 700 staff across a range of ministries, including aged care, community and family, education and training, and ministry and pastoral, the Parish works to support the dignity, wellbeing and needs of the community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are now seeking a strategic and experienced Executive Manager – Organisational Development to join our Executive Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping the future capability and culture of the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and sitting on the Parish Leadership Team Executive (PLTE), this senior leadership role is responsible for leading and integrating the Parish's people capability agenda across multiple functions including:

* Strategic Leadership & Executive Contribution
* Transformation and Change
* Organisational Strategy
* Human Resources
* Learning and Development
* Work, Health and Safety

This role plays a critical part in translating organisational strategy into initiatives that attract, develop and retain exceptional people while building a strong, values-aligned culture across the Parish.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Parish as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
* Lead the development and implementation of the organisation's People & Culture Strategy aligned to the broader organisational strategy.
* Provide the CEO and Board with insights into workforce capability, culture and organisational development initiatives.
* Transformation & Change: Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives including organisational redesign, service innovation and technology implementation.
* Establish strong change management frameworks and build internal leadership capability to support organisational change.
* Organisational Strategy: Support the CEO and leadership team in strategic planning, performance monitoring and organisational development.
* Provide strategic insights based on workforce trends, sector developments and community needs.
* Oversee the Parish's HR function including recruitment, workforce planning, performance management and industrial relations.
* Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and best-practice HR frameworks.
* Learning & Workforce Capability: Lead organisational learning and leadership development programs.
* Develop future leadership capability and workforce pathways across the Parish.
* Work Health & Safety: Provide strategic leadership of the WHS framework to ensure safe, supportive and compliant workplaces across all Parish services.

WHO YOU ARE

To be successful in this role you will bring significant executive leadership experience and a strong background in organisational development and people strategy.

You will demonstrate:

* Senior leadership experience in complex, multi-site organisations.
* Strong experience across organisational strategy, transformation and change management.
* Proven ability to lead high-performing People & Culture teams.
* A strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and WHS frameworks.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at executive and board level.
* A genuine commitment to values-based leadership and community impact.

Qualifications

* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Business, or related discipline.
* Postgraduate qualifications in HR, Organisational Development, Leadership or Change Management are highly regarded.
* Membership with professional bodies such as AHRI or AICD is desirable.
