MAINTENANCE WORKER - PAINTING FOCUS

Our Maintenance Workers play a vital role in keeping the City of Canning's buildings and assets looking their best. We're currently seeking skilled Painters (or maintenance professionals with strong painting experience) to join our Facilities team and help maintain, refresh, and protect our community spaces.
About the role
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be working across a wide range of Council buildings and assets, delivering high-quality painting and maintenance works that make a visible difference.
A snapshot of your new role:
* Undertake maintenance on signage, minor building and fencing.
* Perform general carpentry work, such as hanging doors, framing and timber repairs, and larger tasks for our carpentry focused role.
* Graffiti removal and cleaning of buildings and structures.
* Minor painting works, and larger painting projects for our painting focused role.
* Utilise field tablet technology to monitor and close out job requests.
What you will bring to the role:
* Experience in building maintenance and construction work.
* Solid experience and background in either Painting, OR in Handyperson and Carpentry.
* Sound verbal communication and interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage own time effectively.
* Qualifications in either carpentry or painting, or similar trades would be an advantage.
* Tickets in EWP and Working at Heights desirable.
* 'C' Class drivers' licence.
* Current Satisfactory National Police Clearance.
