Entry-Level Network Administrator role supporting enterprise networks in a hybrid work environment at Tenssor Technology.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of switches, routers, wireless controllers/APs, and firewalls (Cisco/Meraki/Fortinet or similar).
Monitor performance, availability, and capacity using tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, or Meraki Dashboard; resolve Level-1/Level-2 incidents within SLA.
Provide L1 support for LAN/WLAN/VPN connectivity, VoIP, and basic server access; triage and elevate complex issues.
Log, track, and close tickets in the ITSM tool; contribute to root-cause analysis and knowledge base articles.
Support security controls including access lists, MFA/VPN policies, least-privilege, and patch management.
Assist in monitoring alerts from security tools (IDS/IPS, endpoint/AV) and participate in vulnerability remediation.
Help maintain site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, SD-WAN policies, and inter-VLAN routing.
Gain exposure to cloud networking (Azure/AWS VPCs/VNets, ExpressRoute/VPN gateways) and Microsoft 365 network dependencies.
Produce and maintain network diagrams, configuration baselines, asset inventories, and change records.
Follow ITIL-aligned change, incident, and problem management practices.
Support on-site cut-overs, hardware swaps, and cabling patching in comms racks following safe work practices.
Coordinate with vendors/service providers for new links, faults, and RMAs.
Assist with backups of device configurations, firmware updates, and disaster recovery/business continuity test activities.
About You
The company is looking for:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, Networking, Telecommunications, or related field.
Foundational understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing/Switching, and VPNs.
Familiarity with enterprise network equipment and firewalls (Cisco/Meraki/Fortinet/HP/Aruba or similar).
Comfortable with command-line interfaces; basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Python) is a plus.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, strong troubleshooting mindset, team-first attitude, and eagerness to learn.
Desirable: Internship or project experience in networking/IT support.
Desirable: Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA (in progress or completed), Microsoft Fundamentals.
Desirable: Exposure to Microsoft 365, Windows Server/AD, Azure networking, Wi-Fi design, or monitoring tools (PRTG/SolarWinds).
Desirable: Basic awareness of security frameworks and good practices (e.g., ISO ***** controls).
