About the role
We are seeking a Supply Base Management Specialist to join the Autonomous Air Vehicle Team, providing technical supply chain expertise, planning and warehouse operations oversight. This role is essential to manage and resolve issues that affect inventory and assets across the supply chain, with close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of equipment and parts to the factory build site at Wellcamp. This is a developing role on a greenfield site; as the facility is built, the role will coordinate all on-site supply chain activities and, once commissioned, transition to warehouse management to support production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time deliveries for the Wellcamp site fit-out and commissioning
- Provide supply chain guidance to internal stakeholders
- Produce and present supply chain status reports to educate factory build and commissioning schedules
- Collaborate with stakeholders to minimise daily schedule impacts
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with internal customers and external stakeholders
- Provide on-site support for delivery schedule, system processes and forecast requirements
- Forecast supply chain risks, assess impacts and implement mitigation plans
- Identify and investigate items impacting factory fit-out and commissioning schedules
- Lead the warehouse design, fit-out and commissioning process
Future responsibilities (development
- Provide supply chain guidance to internal stakeholders
- Produce supply chain status reports for production readiness
- Collaborate with stakeholders to minimise shortage impacts on production schedules
- Support production enquiries related to stock availability and forecast requirements
- Conduct production readiness reviews and implement action plans for production rate changes
- Forecast and mitigate supply chain risks
- Identify and implement supply chain process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cost
- Forecast warehouse staffing needs to meet production support
- Manage general warehouse operations and staff
Experience/Qualifications
- Understanding of Supply Chain methodology and processes
- Experience in Integrated Logistics Fundamentals
- Ability to identify supply chain requirements and take accountability
- Ability to identify, establish and promote process improvements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- PC proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office
- Defence industry experience is highly regarded
- Australian Citizenship to meet NV1 security clearance requirements
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
