We are currently seeking applications for multiple Operational Team Leaders to join Payroll Services, Shared Services SA at The Department of Treasury & Finance in term capacities.
Remuneration:
ASO6 – Salary Range ($98,478 - $104,165 p.a.)
About the opportunity:
As an Operational Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading, planning and coordinating the day-to-day operational functions of a team to ensure that payroll services are delivered to SA Government client agencies in line with service agreements and compliance standards. You will build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, prioritise customer satisfaction and provide expert advice and support to management and staff on complex matters.
You will foster and maintain a culture of high performance and professionalism by prioritising continuous improvement and supporting the wellbeing of your team members. You will facilitate an environment of ongoing learning and development through the creation, and review, of individual development plans and regular performance discussions with your team members. Your ability to analyse performance metrics, evaluate team output and allocate resourcing will allow you to drive operational excellence and identify service improvements.
This role also contributes to the design and coordination of strategic service delivery and change initiatives, including the coordination of team efforts to ensure successful implementation, and the maintenance of internal controls and quality assurance systems. Your effective communication and planning skills will be essential in achieving high-quality outcomes as you lead and support teams through these changes.

To be successful you will have:
* Demonstrated leadership skills that motivate and engage your team to meet their objectives.
* A proven track record of managing in a fast-paced team environment including resourcing allocation, workloads and prioritisation to ensure services are provided in a timely and accurate manner.
* Effective stakeholder engagement skills to manage expectations and deliver against agreed commitments.
* The proven ability to provide quality customer service and expert advice on complex matters.
* Experience in developing the skills and capability of team members to improve operational efficiency.
* Experience supporting teams through the effective implementation of changes to work processes, procedures and technology, whilst maintaining service delivery performance.
