Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering or similar
* Experience in controls or software development for real-time and distributed systems
* Background in Automotive, Rail / Locomotive - Defense
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge of software architecture design in distributed systems
* Understanding of network communications and protocols (CAN, TRDP)
* Experience with Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow
* Knowledge of embedded systems and experience developing in C / C++
* Strong skills in the full software development life cycle
* Experience with software version control systems such as Git or SVN
* Experience with Functional Safety Rail SIL1, SIL2 rated software development is highly advantageous (EN50128, EN50716 or equivalent)
* Ability to work closely with other teams for project design and integration
* Participation in the product development lifecycle from prototype to production
* Setup of software development platforms, frameworks, standards, and processes
* Design hardware and software architectures for distributed and real-time systems
* Lead the introduction and integration of standards, workflows, and best practices
* Mentor junior team members and coordinate career development pathways
* Contribute to project scoping, planning, and budgeting
