About the role:
An exciting opportunity is available for a Payroll Officer to join a busy and collaborative team in South-West Sydney. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will contribute to timely, accurate and compliant delivery of payroll services and contributes to maintaining a high‑quality payroll function This role works in a small, but busy team where you will have the opportunity to learn from an accomplished Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
End-to-End Payroll: Process payroll, including handling new starters, bank changes, superannuation, salary adjustments, allowances and deductions, and terminations. Payroll Compliance: Follow documented payroll checking procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in all payroll tasks. Termination Payments: Assist with the calculation and processing of termination payments. PAYG, Super, and Third-Party Payments: Support the administration and processing of PAYG, superannuation, and other third-party payments. Projects: Support the Payroll Manager with the final stages of implementation and rollout of new payroll system and time and attendance systems. The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar role, as well as the following attributes:
Capable of processing high volume, payrolls 5+ years of Payroll experience, across permanent, part-time and casual employees Approachable attitude and friendly to other team members Some experience working with different awards; basic knowledge of interpretation High attention to detail, completing work with a high level of accuracy Knowledge in Workday is desirable but not essential.
