What you'll be doing
As Director Clinical Governance, you will lead and embed a comprehensive clinical governance framework that strengthens patient safety, quality and experience across the district. You'll provide expert strategic advice and drive system-wide improvements in care delivery.

* Lead implementation of clinical governance frameworks aligned with NSW Health standards
* Oversee clinical risk management, incident reporting and patient safety systems
* Drive patient experience, health literacy and open disclosure initiatives
* Partner with clinical leaders to improve outcomes through audit, review and safety programs
* Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing clinical governance team

How to Apply
Apply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date.

* An undergraduate degree in a health-related discipline, with significant recent and/or relevant equivalent clinical experience in a complex health care setting.
* Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills in the assessment, analysis and resolution of complex issues, demonstrating formulation of new approaches and implementation of comprehensive change programs and improvement strategies, with an ability to develop and monitor outcomes to meet strategic and business goals.
* Extensive experience with incident management including assigning and reviewing Harm Scores, providing high level advice regarding legislation and leading Serious Adverse Event Review teams.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage human, financial and physical resources effectively and efficiently to ensure budget and performance targets are met.
* Demonstrated advanced communication skills with an ability to influence, lead, consult and negotiate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and produce comprehensive reports such as business analysis and strategic direction documents.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and lead clinicians within multidisciplinary teams to initiate and achieve significant change and improvements in safety and quality, within a complex health care setting.
* Extensive practice knowledge of the clinical systems and health services, including demonstrated knowledge of the concepts, principles and practice of Safety and Quality, including patient safety, patient experience, clinical risk, quality improvement and complaints management.
* Demonstrated experience working at a senior level within a large organisation, with a proven track record.
