Employment Term: Casual Opportunities
Service Hours: The Service is operational Monday to Thursday 5pm to 9am daily and Friday 4pm to Monday 9am and public holidays. You do not need full availability during this time, just a reasonable variety.
Location: Remote and Onsite opportunities in Ipswich, Logan, Rockhampton, Cairns, Townsville. On-site positions may include travel but can also be performed from home.
Remuneration: From $***** p/hr (including casual loading) + Super + NFP Salary Packaging.

Role Overview
Operates within a trauma-informed framework, providing intake and assessment, immediate & practical support to victims and their families, and witnesses impacted by serious violent incidents.
Emphasises a combination of phone and face-to-face engagement, timely intervention, and collaborative support to address urgent client needs and promote recovery.
What makes a difference for us?
Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science) along with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
Lesser formal qualifications with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard will be considered.
Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed practice and the ability to apply theory to practice including crisis response, case management and/or mental health support.
Proven ability to effectively communicate in a respectful, non-threatening, and non-intrusive manner with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
High-level communication, listening, and advocacy skills.
Ability to manage change, difficult situations, and provide viable solutions.
Strong personal resilience to sustain work in environments that may involve vicarious trauma.
A commitment to promoting victim-led recovery and satisfaction.
Current driver's licence.
Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
Must have the ability to pick up shifts within the service hours.
