Nutava is seeking a Metallurgical Systems Consultant to work closely with site‐based process engineers and metallurgists to support and implement MAX, our specialist metallurgical accounting platform.
This remote role offers the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge, work directly with clients across multiple processing operations, and help improve metallurgical accounting practices — while enjoying a more flexible and balanced working environment.
This role is particularly suited to a metallurgist or process engineer looking to remain technically engaged with the industry while moving away from full‐time site‐based roles.

The RoleYou will work directly with site‐based process engineers and metallurgists to support their metallurgical accounting processes and ensure MAX is configured effectively for their operations.
This role combines technical analysis, consulting, and client collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting clients using MAX and assisting with technical questions and configuration updates
* Configuring MAX for new sites and processing operations
* Improving and refining configurations for existing clients
* Working with site‐based engineers and metallurgists to understand plant processes and metallurgical accounting workflows
* Translating existing client spreadsheets and tools into MAX configurations
* Helping clients improve the rigour and consistency of their metallurgical accounting practices
* Managing implementation or improvement projects
* Preparing documentation and training materials for clients
* Delivering client training sessions
* Identifying opportunities where additional configuration or improvements could benefit the client
About You
You are likely a chemical engineer or metallurgist with experience in mineral processing, plant metallurgy, or metallurgical accounting.
You enjoy working collaboratively with people to understand problems and develop practical solutions.
Ideal experience and skills include:
* 5–10 years experience in mineral processing or plant metallurgy
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
* Interest in technology and data systems
* Strong communication skills and professionalism when working with clients
* Ability to prepare clear documentation and training materials
* Ability to manage small projects independently
* Self‐discipline and organisation required for remote work
Experience with metallurgical accounting is highly desirable but not essential. Exposure to SQL or data systems would be beneficial but is not required.
Candidates must hold either a Metallurgy degree, a Process Engineering degree or similar.
Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position.
