Domestic and Family Violence Case Manager
We are seeking a dedicated case manager to join our team in Darwin.
* Deliver crisis intervention, risk and safety planning, and holistic support under frameworks that prioritize client wellbeing.
* Conduct intake assessments using the NT Common Risk Assessment Tool to identify clients' needs.
* Facilitate property safety upgrades in collaboration with clients, promoting their independence and autonomy.
* BUILD RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS AND STAKEHOLDERS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS BY EMPATHIZING WITH THEIR EXPERIENCES AND NEEDS.
* Maintain accurate case notes and reports; participate in an after-hours on-call roster as required.
About this opportunity
This role is critical in supporting individuals who have experienced domestic or family violence. You will provide expert guidance and support, helping clients navigate complex systems and access necessary resources.
Key qualifications and skills:
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, or a related field.
* Have proven experience in culturally appropriate, strength-based casework with women affected by domestic and family violence.
* Possess strong knowledge of domestic and family violence issues, including legal, child protection, and policy frameworks.
* Demonstrate excellent relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.
