Drill Doctors is an independent supplier of aftermarket parts and components for blast-hole drill rigs in NSW. We provide full drill rig overhauls, component repairs, on-site Field Service along with internal manufacturing capabilities.
The Role:
As Purchasing Officer, you will work within the existing Purchasing, Warehouse and Part Sales Team team of eight.
Key areas of responsibility:
* Utilising Inventory management reports (MRP) for the planning of stock requirements.
* Sourcing quotes and product availability from suppliers when required.
* Purchasing - including creating/amending of purchase orders.
* Expedite outstanding or potentially outstanding orders via phone as opposed to emailing.
* Improving and maintaining data integrity.
* Supporting inventory management by maintaining stock counts and stock adjustments
* Forklift operation (Loading and unloading delivery vehicles) if required.
* Adhering to Health and Safety policy at all times
The following experience is required:
* Procurement work within an industrial company
* Working with SAP or similar procurement / ERP systems.
The following skills are required for success:
* Strong computer skills and attention to detail
* Good communication skills - verbal and written.
* Excellent organisation/time management skills.
* Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities.
* To be able to get along with other members of the team, even during times of high workloads and tight deadlines.
* Fast learner.
* Manual Drivers license (Highly Regarded). Forklift Ticket (Highly Regarded, but we can support you in attaining)
