About Our Client
Our client is a major enterprise operating in the industrial and resources sector, currently undertaking a complex payroll remediation project. The Brisbane-based team is focused on ensuring legislative compliance and audit defensibility across a decade of payroll data.
Job Description
* Cleanse, review, and analyse large payroll datasets to identify impacted employees and quantify financial exposure.
* Build defensible models and calculations that stand up to external audit scrutiny.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, working under the leadership of a senior compliance expert.
* Apply your understanding of payroll legislation, especially around Portable Long Service Leave (PLSL), to validate and refine existing frameworks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business Analyst (Payroll) should have:
* Proven experience as a Payroll Business Analyst, Payroll Data Analyst, or similar role.
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, modelling) and comfort working with large datasets.
* Familiarity with SAP, Ramco, or other enterprise payroll systems.
* Experience in payroll remediation, compliance audits, or LSL-specific projects in Australia.
* Methodical, analytical, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and pressure-test frameworks.
