**An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated customer experience team in both the Front of House and Box Office service areas.
**About the role**
Customer Service is pivotal to ensure that Riverside Theatres is maintained as a centre of excellence for performing arts, events and exhibitions in Parramatta and Western Sydney. This casual position is responsible for providing under moderate to direct supervision, a top level of customer service to Riverside Theatre's stakeholders including patrons, customers, hirers and producers.
On any given shift you will be required to as a minimum:
- Welcome our patrons face-to-face in a polite and friendly manner and maintain a high level of customer service
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of all venues and facilities within the Riverside Theatres as per training provided.
- Accurate and correct sales and cash handling procedures
- Check assigned areas for cleanliness, safety issues and lost property. Report any concerns to supervisors.
- Follow all emergency protocols and be prepared to guide visitors to the exits and muster point as per training provided.
- Attend all Riverside Theatres All-Staff meetings, team meetings and onsite mandatory training events.
- Undertake all online mandatory Council and Riverside Theatre training.
- Enforce venue policy and rules and relevant health and safety regulations.

**About You**
You will also have the following experience:
- Substantial experience in a customer service environment.
- Working efficiently in a customer service team with a clear understanding of supervision hierarchies
- Proficient oral and written English communication skills
- Ability to manage crowds and remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to work across a 7-day shift work schedule including evenings, weekends and some public holidays. Applicants with a flexible schedule will be prioritised.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend for extended periods, and be able to safely lift 15kg
- Ability to work and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Displays initiative and is a good problem solver
It would be desirable but not essential for applicants to have:
- Qualification relating to ticketing
- Qualification relating to customer service
- First Aid and CPR certificates that are in date
- An understanding of safety and security issues relating to public buildings and public events
- Basic operation of a point-of-sales system
- Basic understanding of cash-handling procedures
- Eye for detail with a commitment to achieving high standards of customer service and customer perception.

**What's on offer**
We are offering an attractive hourly rate of $33.35 (inclusive of 25% casual loading) plus penalties and plus super contributions of 10.5%
