Our Radiation Therapists are a key component of the multidisciplinary team guiding patients through their treatment journey. We provide the Statewide Brachytherapy service, External Beam Radiotherapy, seamless Varian planning to treatment and use 2 Truebeam Linacs. You will join a diverse team and will be supported in career development through dedicated education support and a teaching culture. This opportunity includes support for relocation and accommodation.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible. The successful applicant will also be part of an on-call roster. Fixed term hours may be negotiated.

Primary Purpose

Carry out planning and treatment of patients with x-rays, electrons or radiation from sealed sources as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. Associated duties include patient care, general and technical administration.

Salary and Benefits

Base Salary: $85,011 per annum up to $127,700

* Appointment salary level will be based on experience
* Current salary range is in accordance with Radiation Therapists Agreement 2025

Market Allowance: 10% Market Allowance in addition to base salary

Superannuation: 12% Superannuation on top of base salary and Market Allowance

Salary Packaging: Access to benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year

Eligibility

Successful applicants will meet essential criteria:

* Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
* Registration/licences must remain current and valid at all times; status may be checked during employment. You are responsible for keeping registrations up to date and to inform the Employer of changes, including revocation or alteration of conditions.

The Head of the State Service requires a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. Checks include:

* Conviction checks for crimes of violence, sex offences, serious drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty
* Identification check
* Disciplinary action in previous employment
