The opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and professional Business Administrator to provide high quality support to the growing, fast‐paced and collaborative AU Water team. This is a varied role where you will move across tasks and projects and support the full project lifecycle, from tendering and coordination through to cost tracking, documentation and delivery, while engaging with both internal teams and clients.
The position requires someone with corporate experience, a sound understanding of project environments, and financial literacy. You will be confident managing information, organising meetings, coordinating internal processes, preparing documentation, and supporting project teams with accuracy and efficiency. Success in this role calls for strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build effective working relationships. We value individuals who work independently, take initiative, follow up proactively, and help others identify practical solutions. This is an office‐based role (8:30am to 5:00pm), with a strong emphasis on face‐to‐face collaboration and team connection.
About You
You are a highly organised and adaptable professional who thrives in a fast‐paced, varied environment and can confidently pivot between tasks and priorities. You work independently and collaborate naturally, building strong relationships across teams and with clients. Your attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and ability to prioritise and stay ahead of team needs, even when juggling multiple deadlines, make you a great fit for our team.
In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our projects and operations running smoothly. You will manage finances, budgets, invoicing, and payments, while updating project requirements and maintaining databases, records, and job files. Your skills in document formatting and bid administration will be valuable as you log new bids and set up templates. You will also coordinate meetings, take minutes, prepare presentations, and assist with onboarding, expense claims, resourcing reports, travel and catering bookings, and team events.
