Operations Manager - Commissioning Services
Join to apply for the Operations Manager - Commissioning Services role at Vertiv. Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Salary: A$200,000 – A$250,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the division operates efficiently and delivers a high standard of customer service.
* Develop project plans and manage resources to support the project execution team.
* Collaborate with the Senior Service Director to prepare forecasts and manage the sales group's P&L (including orders, sales, and SG&A).
* Ensure purchasing procedures are followed and local expenses remain within budget.
* Liaise with project and service operations teams to ensure all projects have appropriate resources.
* Maintain company equipment, vehicles, and capital equipment in good working order.
* Maintain spare stock and material levels and conduct regular stock takes.
* Report monthly to the Director, Service ANZ, highlighting national issues as they arise.
* Assist in training and participate in customer demonstrations or promotional seminars.
* Prepare and develop regular reports and analyses of business achievements, opportunities, and performance against KPIs, ensuring compliance with Vertiv's reporting protocols.
* Review, develop, and communicate sales policies and procedures to create a high‑performing team.
* Manage the complete sales activities process to ensure effective salesperson productivity.
* Identify opportunities to expand the project services offering and directly represent Vertiv to prospects and customers, working with the National Service Sales Manager.
Planning, Process and Reporting
* Collaborate with the Service Director to develop short‑ and long‑range business plans.
* Initiate, lead, and manage a diverse range of projects to increase operational sales performance.
* Proactively work with cross‑functional stakeholders to identify and address business improvement opportunities.
WHS, Environment & Quality
* Comply with all Work, Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality obligations.
* Actively promote safety in the workplace.
* Ensure timesheets are completed correctly and submitted to payroll on time, with supporting paperwork such as a doctor's certificate if required.
