Associate Lecturer - Bachelor of Nursing
TAFE Queensland proudly boasts an industry leading, state-of-the-art nursing educational facility at its Southport Campus on the Gold Coast. The institution offers a new Bachelor of Nursing program with a focus on practical and industry-relevant training, providing students with skills and experience to succeed.
We seek a dedicated Associate Lecturer to join our passionate Bachelor of Nursing team.
The successful candidate will have higher education lecturing or tutoring experience in Nursing or a related field and be able to effectively:
* Perform assigned teaching duties with students on and off campus, meeting unit and course learning outcomes.
* Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and various educational delivery modes as required, in conjunction with lecturers and unit convenors.
* Deliver content through a multi-modal hybrid model incorporating face-to-face and online teaching methods.
* Assist in developing innovative curriculum and teaching pedagogies utilising current and emerging technologies for classroom and placement settings.
* Undertake marking and assessment connected with units being delivered.
* Participate in administrative activities related to the program of teaching.
* Effectively participate as a member of the Bachelor of Nursing program and broader nursing faculty teaching teams.
* Communicate effectively with students to facilitate their learning and success in higher education.
This temporary part-time (0.6FTE) opportunity is available until 27/06/2025, with potential for extension based on performance. Based primarily at Southport and Southbank Campuses.
Mandatory Requirements & Key Capabilities:
* A relevant qualification at least one level higher than the awarded degree or equivalent relevant academic or professional experience; and/or
* Equivalent relevant academic or professional experience except for staff supervising doctoral degrees having a doctoral degree or equivalent research experience; and
* Demonstrable knowledge of contemporary developments in the discipline informed by continuing scholarship or research or advances in practice; and
* Proven skills in contemporary teaching, learning, and assessment principles and modes of delivery relevant to the discipline and student needs.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Commitment to student success and passion for nursing education.
