WHA-2 $***** - $***** per hour plus 25% casual loading. Casual, working over a 7‑day roster.
Overview
This is a unique opportunity to work on Australia's picturesque Kangaroo Island as a Service Assistant.
The Role
As a Service Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a timely, efficient and effective service, involving catering, cleaning and laundry of the health unit. Duties may include the preparation, service and delivery of food to clients, general housekeeping and laundry duties as required.

The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network borders each of the four Adelaide metropolitan Local Health Networks, providing services to the largest population group of all regional local health networks in South Australia. With an employed workforce of over **** people, the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is unique and geographically diverse, from peri‑urban sites near Adelaide, to our wider regions, and the picturesque Kangaroo Island.
Eligibility & Requirements
* Current driver's licence and willingness to drive on country roads.
* Flexibility and commitment to participate in a rostering system (including weekends as required).
* At minimum, a limited level of experience in housekeeping, cooking/catering and laundry.
* Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.
* Basic knowledge of safe working conditions, Food Safety Standards and Infection Control Standards (including cleaning and sanitizing processes).
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable
* Successful completion of Year 11 High School or equivalent.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Experience in the areas of housekeeping, cooking/catering and laundry.

Checks Required
* DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups.
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category A (Direct Contact with blood or body substances).
