We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to immediately join our team. The successful candidate will be required to review tender requests and documentation, collate and prepare tender submissions in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties And Responsibilities
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the Estimating Division such as:
* Manage and review tender requests
* Review and analyse technical drawings, scopes and specifications for projects
* Responsible for completing plan take-offs, BOQs and project cost spreadsheets
* Supplier management including qualification and coordination for pricing
* Liaise with clients and management of expectations
* Prepare tender submissions and ensure deadlines are met
* Internal and external stakeholder management
* Make recommendations and assist Senior Management to improve processes and efficiencies across the division and organisation
* Development/Management of business estimating templates and databases
* Be the authoritative contact for all matters relating to the Department
* Communicate with Senior Leadership team openly and as soon as any issues are identified
* Reporting to the General Manager
Experience And Skills Required
* Tertiary qualifications preferred
* Over 4 years' experience in a similar role is essential (Construction, Civil and Landscaping Estimators experience)
* Advanced technical knowledge of landscape and/or civil construction methodology, materials etc.
* Competent and confident to use Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, PDF, Project etc.
* Reliable transportation
* Workcover White Card
* Fluent written and verbal English ability
* Excellent interpersonal skills
