We are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to contribute to fostering a supportive, respectful, and positive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
About the Role
Reporting to the Youth Club Manager, you will be implementing programs and activities that promote participation of young people and surrounding communities. As a Community Engagement Specialist, your primary goal is to build strong relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement community engagement strategies to foster partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community groups.
* Develop and deliver engaging programs and activities that meet the needs of young people and surrounding communities.
* Collaborate with the Youth Club Manager to plan, coordinate, and evaluate programs and activities.
* Maintain accurate records and reports of program participation, attendance, and outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Certificate III in youth work, community development/welfare, human services or related discipline or equivalent level of experience in social and community sector.
* Experience in undertaking youth-related activities and community engagement initiatives.
* A light rigid driver's licence and a Restricted Drivers' Authority (or ability to obtain).
* A current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain).
