An exciting opportunity has become available for a professional and motivated Midwifery leader to join the Maternity Unit at a private hospital in Perth. It's a permanent full-time position.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As the Maternity Unit Manager, you will be accountable for the efficient and effective management of all human & material resources within the department. You will cover planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the department.
You will be working with and supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practices and legislative requirements. Nurse Unit Managers will work closely with the Executive team to shape organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting;
- A minimum of five years post-registration experience in Midwifery;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources;
- Previous experience in the management of change processes, risk management and quality improvement processes;
- Experience leading a clinical team;
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team;
- Sound computer skills using MS Office programs, including Excel;
- Relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications and/or management qualifications;
- Evidence of prior service delivery planning and research projects is desirable.

**ABOUT THE FACILITY**
Hospital, located in Perth, has a palliative care unit, a bed medical/rehabilitation ward, a surgical ward, a Day Surgery and Endoscopy unit, an Early Parenting Centre and maternity services incorporating an obstetrics ward, delivery suite and Level 2 special care nursery.
The maternity unit consists of 4 birthing suites, an assessment room, 4 level 2 special care nursery beds, and 28 antenatal, postnatal, and women's health beds.
