Our aim is to partner with our customers and provide them with superior services that deliver professional relationships, efficient processes and sound financial management to support the University's objectives.The role of Finance Process and Data Specialist is within our Finance Performance Improvement Team which encompasses the formulation of rules, policies, frameworks, procedures, and guidelines governing financial systems and processes. The team spearheads initiatives aimed at transforming the finance function, enhancing operational efficiencies and fostering a culture of innovation within FBSC.Under the direction of the Manager, Process Improvement, this position is responsible for optimising processes, reducing costs and driving operational excellence. This position also works with other keys stakeholders in the design, development and implementation of FBSC reporting and analytics.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a related field.Advanced graduate degree or relevant certification (e.g. PowerPlatform, Six Sigma, Lean, PowerBI, CPA, Oracle, SQL, PowerQuery) is preferred.ExperiencePossess at least 3-5 years experience in financial analysis, process improvements data analytics or related field with a proven track record in driving process improvements and cost saving initiatives. Advanced proficiency in data and process mapping tools analysis tools and techniques such as Visio, Power Query, SQL, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, etc.) or Tableau.Good basic understanding of financial principles, accounting practices and standards with excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence and Courage.Benefits & RemunerationThis full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $115,042 to $129,573 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.ECU supports a work/life balance for staff.
