Gouge Linen & Garment Services is a proud Australian organisation delivering essential linen and garment services to healthcare, hospitality, industrial and commercial customers across Victoria. Our operations span large‐scale production plants, logistics networks and shift‐based environments.
Safety at Gouge is a core business priority. We are investing accordingly and seeking an Enterprise Safety Business Partner, based in Geelong, to lead OHS outcomes across all Gouge sites.
The Opportunity
As the Enterprise Safety Business Partner, you will hold end‐to‐end accountability for Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) across the organisation. You will operate as the single point of contact for safety, supported by:
* HR Business Partners at site level, and
* A central Compliance Administrator managing training coordination, registers, and ISO audit readiness.
This role is hands‐on, influential and commercially focused, with direct executive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and lead the enterprise OHS strategy, governance and assurance
* Lead serious incidents, high‐risk events, investigations and notifiable incidents
* Act as the primary interface with WorkSafe Victoria, insurers and external auditors
* Drive injury management performance and WorkCover premium outcomes
* Coach and influence leaders on practical, risk‐based safety decisions
* Deliver executive and Board‐level safety reporting, insights and recommendations
* Ensure safety systems enable operations — not slow them down
* There will be a requirement to travel to other sites as required
Essential Requirements
1. Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
(or Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety with Victorian OHS experience)
2. Proven experience in a Safety / OHS Business Partner role
3. Background in manufacturing, logistics or similar fast‐paced environments
4. Confidence engaging with regulators and senior operational leaders
5. Strong judgement, credibility and decision‐making capability
Highly Desirable
* HR qualification or strong HR experience
* Demonstrated experience partnering closely with HR teams
* Exposure to multi‐site or enterprise‐level safety responsibility
