What you can expect
This position is the perfect opportunity to embark on your career in insurance related superannuation fund actuarial management. Reporting to the Senior Manager Insurance Pricing, you'll be involved in insurance data collection and analysis, administrative management of insurance pricing, insurance reserve management and insurance policy. The role will see you collaborate with multiple teams across several business units and external stakeholders. The role will also provide the opportunity to learn the key insurance related principles of the insurance premium pricing for both an insurer and a super fund member.

Who we're looking for
We're looking for an Analyst or Graduate to join our insurance team in a full-time, permanent role based in Melbourne and starting in January/February 2026.
We welcome graduates from an actuarial discipline, potentially working towards professional accreditation, who has completed a degree in 2024 or are completing a degree in 2025 at an Australian Tertiary Institution.
The ideal candidate will also have:
* Numeracy and writing skills
* Preferably completion/ near completion of Part I subjects (Actuaries Institute or equivalent)
* Understanding of financial services products, investments, superannuation, corporate company
* Understanding and knowledge of relevant and current legislation pertaining to superannuation/life insurance
* Knowledge of financial services trends and legislative environment
* Demonstrated excellent organisational, self and priority management skills
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Communication skills to explain complicated concepts to a variety of stakeholders
* Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
* Demonstrated ability to work well within teams and independently
* Demonstrated ability and willingness to challenge the status quo in a thoughtful and courteous manner
* A high level of comfort working in a membership-based organisation
* Willingness to champion and demonstrate the Cbus values and associated behaviours
