Role Overview
Provide high‐level clinical leadership in developing, providing and evaluating services that ensure optimal patient/client/family and community outcomes. The Nurse Practitioner – Cardiac Care evaluates and implements changes to clinical practice, initiates research, education and quality improvement activities, and acts as a leader, advisor and mentor to other nurses and clinicians to ensure high‐level clinical excellence in the practice area.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive cardiac assessments and develop treatment plans.
* Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions in hospital settings.
* Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians and nursing staff.
* Provide patient and family education on cardiac health management.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research.
* Mentor and support junior nursing staff.
Qualifications
* Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA.
* Master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing or equivalent.
* Substantial experience in cardiac or critical care nursing.
* Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Commitment to evidence‐based practice and continuous learning.
Benefits and Compensation
Salary: $148,470 per annum (pro rata). Employer superannuation contribution 12% on top of salary. Additional allowances may be available: Post Graduate Allowance up to 7.5% of salary increment points. Salary packaging includes living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year.

Essential criteria
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner.
