Employment Type: Permanent, part-time (up to 48 hours per fortnight, day worker). Commencing 22 July 2026.
Grade: Registered Nurse, Grade 6 under Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award.
Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse Educator – Surgical Wards (Ward 5B) facilitates and supports the development of the nursing workforce and ancillary staff within the clinical inpatient surgical ward. Responsibilities include planning, promoting, coordinating, implementing and evaluating education programmes to enhance evidence‐based and patient‐centred care.
Team
* Ward 5B is a fast‐paced surgical ward with a strong interdisciplinary team focused on best patient care and outcomes.
* Patient cohort includes Orthopaedic, Plastics, Gynaecology and General Surgery specialities.
* The role works closely with the Nursing leadership team and Surgical and Perioperative Services to support exemplary evidence‐based and patient‐centred care.
Salary & Benefits
Annual Salary: $118,297 to $125,543 pro rata, per annum (plus 12% superannuation contribution).

Essential Criteria
* Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
