Job Description
The Aboriginal Mental Health Clinician provides recovery-focused, person-centered services for individuals with mental illness and distress. This role involves assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, advocacy, and review as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Salary Information
Salary scales include:
* Allied Health Professionals level 1/2: $73,427 - $104,753 per annum
* Social Worker, Counsellor, Occupational Therapist: $72,152 - $101,299 per annum
* Registered Nurse: $72,152 - $101,299 per annum
* Psychologist: $77,358 - $113,322 per annum
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, safe, and connected care to consumers and their families and carers
* Engage and collaborate with consumers, their families and carers, and other stakeholders
* Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote self-determination and recovery
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Health Science (Mental Health) or relevant registration with AHPRA
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and community links
* High-level communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
* Computer skills including accuracy and knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Programs
