Our client is seeking a driven Business Development Executive / Coordinator to join their high-performing national Business Development, Communications & Marketing team.
Working closely with Partners, Lawyers, and clients across the Commonwealth Government portfolio, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, strategic, and fast-paced professional services environment.
The Role
You'll play a key role in developing and executing marketing and business development initiatives, supporting tender processes, and driving client engagement across the firm's Canberra office and national network.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver creative and strategic BD and marketing campaigns across the Commonwealth Government sector
* Lead pursuits and coordinate tender responses, capability statements and proposals
* Support client relationship programs, service reviews, and market analysis
* Plan and deliver events, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives
* Provide insights and advice to partners and teams on BD opportunities
* Manage and track tender and submission data for analysis
About You
You're proactive, professional, and commercially minded, with strong communication skills and a flair for stakeholder engagement. You'll bring a balance of creativity and structure - comfortable drafting persuasive content, managing projects end-to-end, and juggling competing deadlines.
Experience & Skills
* 2+ years' experience in business development, marketing, or tender management within professional services (legal, consulting, or similar)
* Experience engaging with Commonwealth Government clients highly regarded
* Excellent written communication and project management skills
* Confident working with senior stakeholders across multiple teams
* Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business preferred
This role is NOT suitable for students or individuals on a Working Holiday Visa (WHV).
