About the Senior HSSE Advisor Role
Provide expertise in health, safety, and environmental governance to ensure compliance with relevant statutes, company policies, and client specifications.
This pivotal role involves hands-on coordination of site-based HSE activities, including regular field inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
The successful candidate will ensure the project adheres to Clough Webuild's Health & Safety Management system and associated standards.
* Develop and implement comprehensive Health & Safety (HSE) plans and subsidiary systems documentation.
* Direct communication of HSE issues / standards to ensure all personnel have a clear understanding of the HSSE requirements.
* Coach/mentor employees to minimize risk, ensuring it remains as low as reasonably practicable.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of the Area HSE Activity Schedule.
* Experience working on large-scale construction projects or other suitable projects is highly desirable.
* Possess strong interpretation and application skills for relevant HSE Acts, Regulations, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice.
* Display exceptional problem-solving, interpretation, reasoning, and judgment skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
* Proficient in completing audits and risk assessments.
* Demonstrate an ability to build sound working relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Hold formal HS qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV Workplace Health & Safety).
