Job Opportunity in Upstream Energy Regulation

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of legislation, policies, and programs governing licensing and land access. They will oversee a high-performing team, provide authoritative advice to government, support critical legislative reform, and engage with industry and community stakeholders.
About You
* Proven leadership experience in regulatory, compliance or legal services, preferably within government or the energy sector.
* Expertise in upstream energy resource legislation, particularly the Energy Resources Act 2000, Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act 2023, and associated Acts.
* A strategic mindset with the ability to influence across government and industry, manage change, and provide authoritative, solution-oriented advice.
* Demonstrated ability to work confidently in complex, politically sensitive, and evolving environments.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including with Traditional Owner groups, industry representatives, and the broader community.
