About the role
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our growing team at Elite Surface Protection Pty Ltd in Henderson, Western Australia. This full-time role will involve the construction and installation of high-quality custom cabinetry and woodwork for our residential and commercial projects.
What you'll be doing
1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches and other technical documents to understand project requirements
2. Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling wooden components to create custom cabinets, furniture and other woodwork
3. Installing finished products on-site, ensuring they meet our strict quality and safety standards
4. Maintaining tools and workshop equipment to keep them in optimal working condition
5. Contributing to a safe and collaborative work environment by following all health and safety protocols
6. Inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
What we're looking for
1. Completed carpentry or joinery apprenticeship and several years of hands-on experience in the trade
2. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to find solutions
3. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
4. Sound understanding of building codes, safety regulations and industry best practices
5. Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
