CRVCID ****** This is a permanent full time position Position Profile The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking an experienced Senior Finance and Business Officer to join our Resource Management team and help drive financial sustainability, coordinate business planning activities, and support service areas to achieve their financial and operational goals.
Reporting to the Director Resource Management, you will work closely with stakeholders across CAHS including Finance, Infrastructure, Digital Health, and Workforce teams, service areas and external bodies to ensure alignment, compliance and informed decision-making across three key areas: Overseeing business planning and performance: You will support service areas through budget process by contributing to service planning and decision-making.
You will help teams to identify, develop, test and evaluate reform opportunities and strategies that improve service efficiency and productivity.
You will analyse performance indicators, track and report outcomes and provide regular updates to support reporting to the Finance Committee.
Business case development: You will work with service areas, the Finance Committee and the Department of Health to prioritise investment needs.
You will coordinate end-to-end business case development, including prioritisation frameworks and financial tables, and coordinate submissions to Treasury.
Financial and business reform: You will lead the identification, coordination and implementation of financial and business reform initiatives, providing expert guidance within the Finance team on financial reform matters, including the review of internal policies and guidance documents.
Key responsibilities include Providing high-level business management advice to the Director Resource Management and departments across CAHS.
Supporting the Executive Director, Finance and Corporate in finance operations, including reporting, accounting, policy, audit, and budget development.
Supporting CAHS service areas to monitor budgets, track efficiencies, report outcomes and responding to financial queries from the Department of Health and Treasury.
Preparing and presenting reports, papers and recommendations to Finance Committees and senior executives.
Managing key information systems to ensure managers have timely and accurate data to support service, workforce and financial decisions.
Supporting reform and system improvements, such as adoption of new accounting standards.
