**How will I help?**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Dealing Room Credit Officer.
This role will provide oversight and analysis of credit risk activity in the Financial Markets and Treasury businesses. You will also provide consultancy on counterparty risk-related issues and engage with relevant stakeholders (FM, Treasury, Credit Risk, FM Legal, Risk IT, Relationship Managers, Analysts, Assurance teams, Prudential Governance, and Business Control Monitoring teams) to improve counterparty credit risk management capability and the control environment.
You will be supporting the development and maintenance of a robust and sustainable risk management framework.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Monitor and analyse traded market risk activities and performance including oversight of limit management within delegated authorities.
- Credit limit breach monitoring
- You will participate in the development of risk measuring and monitoring techniques and tools.
- Engage with the business to improve risk management capabilities, facilitating the introduction of new products and contributing on relevant credit risk-related matters and providing credit risk input to projects and initiatives.
- Provide timely response to ad hoc investigations, analysis, and delegated tasks including data extraction and manipulation.
- Annual control assessments

**What do I need?**
- 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Understanding of the products, processes, policies and risks associated with Westpac or similar organization.
- Demonstrated ability in risk oversight and governance in a range of asset classes with focus in rates, FX, Commodities and credit
- Understanding of counterparty credit risk metrics.
- Up to date regulatory knowledge of the counterparty credit risk space.
- Practical experience in dealing with operational process and procedure in a Financial Markets environment.
