About the Role
Our client is a well-known VIC local government organisation. They are currently seeking a Financial Accounts Assistant to join their team in Mentone on a temp contract until 30 April 2026.
Salary: $37-$45 per hour + super. Location: Mentone, VIC with WFH flexibility. This is a temporary contract role until 30 April 2026, with possible extensions.
Responsibilities
* Verifying creditor invoices against planned expenditure in the information system (Carelink).
* Accounts payable, raising and receipting purchase orders (TechOne).
* Internal staff reimbursements.
* Maintaining and supporting financial operations.
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to handle accounts queries.
What you will need
* Post-secondary qualifications or training and experience in processing financial accounts, customer service and administration, or substantial experience in a related field or relevant experience.
* Experience working in a community service environment would be advantageous.
* Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Word and Excel.
