About the role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Junior HR assistant to join our busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career, with guidance and mentoring from the more senior people in the People and Culture team.
Working with an accomplished team of professionals in a collaborative, inclusive and dynamic environment, you will gain hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and general HR activities.
Key responsibilities
Working closely with the People and Culture Adviser and Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
* Compliance and Records - maintaining accurate employee records, certifications, training, and ensure alignment to internal and legislative requirements.
* Recruitment - assisting with job advertising, screening, scheduling interviews and candidate communications.
* Onboarding and offboarding - ensure new starters have pre-employment checks and are tracked and set up for internal systems, including new starter packs and induction process. This includes supporting offboarding processes.
* General administration - support the team by assisting to update templates, controls, manuals and guidelines as required. This will include renewing memberships and updating relevant databases.
About you
This role will suit a junior HR professional with relevant qualifications, keen to learn the full employment lifecycle. If this is your first professional services role, this could be the ideal position for you. You will be proactive, personable and enjoy a varied and busy role.
