Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.About DepartmentThe Medical Records Department supports the delivery of Health Information Management to CGH.This is achieved through:• support to the clinical areas to meet high quality documentation standards;• provision of information required by external agencies, and;• ensuring compliance with Privacy Laws and Freedom of Information requirements.About the RoleThis Data Integrity Officer role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, maintenance and extraction of data within CGHS patient systems (iPM and/or EMR). This includes managing data setup, patient admission/discharge information, merging URNs and conducting quality assurance to meet Statutory Reporting requirements.The position requires advanced expertise in patient information systems and workflows across various healthcare services, such as acute, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, palliative, primary health and community support services.Furthermore, the Data Integrity Officer collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with and successful delivery of Statutory Reporting obligations on behalf of the relevant Director.DutiesMaintaining the high standard of knowledge and continued education of CGH staff in regard to system data requirements (iPM & EMR Non-Clinical).Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in regard to iPM & EMR administrative functions (patient admission & discharge).Extract, compile, validate and submit statutory reporting, in accordance with HDSS Legislative, Manuals, Policy and Guideline requirements.Monitoring systems (iPM & EMR), ensuring the capture of quality patient information/data.Provision of advice to Senior Management in regard to performance of Statutory reporting, obligations and/or performance.Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceCertificate III Business Management or other equivalent qualification and/or experience.Demonstrate strong IT proficiency & utilisation, inclusive of the Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrate proficiency & utilisation of iPM and EMR administrative functions.Salary packagingEmployee Assistance ProgramSocial ClubApplicationPlease attach your resume and cover letter to your applicationStatement addressing Selection Criteria including qualifications, experience and Leadership and Technical Capability Requirements as outlined in the position descriptionAll appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory National Police Certificate and obtaining a Working with Children Check.At CGH we acknowledge the importance of creating a work environment that is welcoming, safe, equitable and inclusive.
