Based at our client's modern Hatchery in Goulburn, this role provides an opportunity to be part of an important global customer-driven organisation, which has been built on generations of knowledge, expertise, and passion. The position holder will learn and implement agreed processes and best practice in incubation to ensure animal welfare, work health and safety, hygiene and biosecurity standards are upheld.
Looking for an Inventory Controller to join our team in the Goulburn NSW region, this role works within the Incubation Hatchery team to ensure that the eggs stocks are managed, inventory records are kept accurately, and hatch orders prepared to meet the customers' requirements.
- You will be responsible for the following duties (but not limited to):
- Maintain daily inventory records and provide accurate reports.
- Manage product (egg) stocks, taking necessary steps to ensure quality standards.
- Stocktake, monitoring and reporting of product quality.
- Monitor environmental conditions of egg storage rooms.
- Scheduling of hatch plans and transport, and liaising with farm management teams
- Accurate data entry into our stock management system
Once you are trained and determined competent, you will be included on our 24/7 Hatchery Alarm Standby Roster and be on-call to attend to any issues that may arise.
**Your Experience and Skills**
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience in warehouse inventory.
- Have solid understanding of receiving and shipping functions.
- Be practical and innovative in their work approach.
- Possess strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Physically fit and able to think on their feet.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
