**The Opportunity**:
On behalf of our client, **Ingot Engineering**, we are looking for a **qualified Fitter and Turner** to join their team.
This is a permanent role located in **Hemmant** that will give you the opportunity to have a long-term career with a leading engineering company that has plenty of variety in its work.
**Job Details**:
You will be operating various machines to produce a wide range of parts mainly for marine vessels, as well as other industries.
Machines include both CNC and manual lathes and mills, horizontal line borers, various drilling machines, bandsaws and a hydraulic press.
Ingot Engineering undertakes the manufacture of current parts, as well as repair and maintenance of existing parts. You will be carrying out welding duties, such as small repairs on castings, welding up jigs and fixtures, as well as custom fabricated rudders.
**About You**:
- 2+ years' experience in a similar role
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering/in a relative field
- Must be competent with reading and drafting plans
- Experience with CAD/CAM is desirable
- Manual CNC Lathe/Mill experience
- Welding experience beneficial
- Marine knowledge would be desirable but is not required
- Forklift licence or willing to obtain
- White Card
- Successfully pass a pre-employment medical and police clearance
- Detail oriented
- Have wonderful time management skills
- A positive mental attitude and willingness to listen and learn

**Please note**: This is not an apprenticeship position, and only qualified fitters and turners will be considered.
