The role responsibilities include:
* Using Lean\SPC methodology to identify focus areas for Quality improvement projects based on data
* Utilizing ERP/MES (e.g., SAP), QMS modules etc to drive real-time quality decisions.
* Identifying and lead Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce COPQ (scrap, rework, warranty) and improve First Pass Yield.
* Supporting nonconformance management via validation of effectiveness on Corrective Actions
* Ensuring MRB decisions, scrap or rework, are supported by a robust, documented decision making process
* Driving root cause & corrective action using 8D, DMAIC, or A3, ensuring verification/validation and prevention of recurrence.
* Partnering with Production Engineering on process controls, poke-yoke solutions, standard work, and error-proofing.
* Supporting internal and external audits (customer, certification, regulatory).
* Supporting supplier selection, qualification, audits, and FAI acceptance; review supplier CoC/CoA, special process certifications and incoming inspection criteria.
* Supporting supplier RCCA and performance improvement for DPPM, OTD, and special process capability.
* Ensure agreed baselines exist with Customers & Suppliers on quality documents e.g. FAIR, QN's, MSP etc and that conformance is tracked and reported
* Build and maintain digital quality tools: SPC dashboards, NCR & MRB ageing trackers, pareto analysis, hot spot mapping
* Raising requests for Deviations and Quality Notices for customer submission
Skills and Experiences:
Required skills, experience and qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
* 3–5+ years in aerospace or precision machining & assembly quality engineering or equivalent
* Familiarity with ERP systems with ability to produce reports using BI
* Strong working knowledge of Lean \ 6 Sigma
* Proven RCCA (8D/DMAIC) capability & analysis.
* Working knowledge of AS9100
* Certifications in: Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
* Advanced problem-solving, analytical thinking, and statistical literacy.
* Clear technical communication: concise reports, data visualization, and shop‑floor coaching.
* Stakeholder influence: collaborates across Production Engineering, Machining, Assembly/Test, Supply Chain, and Design.
* Continuous improvement mindset; bias to action and structured experimentation.
