We are looking for experienced and Dealer Trained Auto Electricians & Diesel/Motor Mechanics with Japanese & European vehicles, Trucks &/OR Agriculture machinery experience for our clients in Cloncurry, QLD.
The role will include all aspects of maintenance and repairs to trucks and trailers, Light/ heavy vehicles & new vehicle pre-delivery etc.
Some of the duties may include but not limited to below; depending on your position.
* Servicing and maintenance of vehicles (as per factory required standards)
* Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune, maintain and test diesel, petrol and gas-powered vehicles
* Diagnose, repair and replace engine management and fuel injection components
* Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition and electronic fuel injection
* Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or list the work required before a certificate can be issued.
* Detect mechanical and electrical faults by using instruments that check charging and starting circuitry, batteries, ignition and ignition timing, fuel injection systems and speed control, cylinder compression, engine condition, braking efficiency, and wheel balance and alignment
* Repair and maintain the hydraulic components
* Auto Electricians to undertake electrical work on new vehicles prior to delivery. This work will include standard electrical additions from lights, fridges, isolators, and invertors to complex CAN BUS integration into standard vehicle systems.
* Diagnostic tracing of fault codes and repair of traced fault
* Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems
* Servicing of electrical automotive parts
* Dismantling of engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other component for rebuilding or repair.
* Auto and adjusting brakes, wheel laser alignment
* General vehicle maintenance as required by customers, including removal and replacement of worn components
* Testing of vehicle under driving conditions after repairs have been completed
The ideal candidate will have:
* At least 1-Year of relevant employment experience is required
* Relevant Trade Qualifications/Experience/ Trade Certificates
* Experience working in a dealership an advantage
* Manufacturer training and experience is essential
* Demonstrated ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks
* Ability to work with computer systems, including computer based diagnostic programs
* Willing to travel and engage in emergency breakdown or after-hours duties when required
