Fleet Maintenance and Repair Specialist
The Fleet Operations team manages fleet mechanical services and scheduled vehicle inspections to meet regulatory requirements and comply with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and Transport and Main Road (TMR) legislative guidelines. The Fleet Maintenance team provides repairs and maintenance services through a lifecycle management approach to ensure all heavy, medium, and light commercial fleet assets and equipment are fit for purpose and maintained to meet complex environments and operational objectives.
* Conduct repairs and scheduled maintenance of QFD fire appliances, pumps, systems, and associated equipment to meet operational capability and comply with NHVR, Queensland Transport Operations (Road Use Management – Road Rules) Regulations, and Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act requirements.
* Complete job sheets and data entry, adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures, and meet effective service delivery and organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with fire appliances and associated equipment.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventative measures.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and provide reports as required.
