Electrician - Fire Alarm Technician
Mackay, Moranbah & Regional QLD
Full-time | $110,000 – $160,000 per year + OT + Benefits
We're looking for qualified Electricians - Fire Alarm Technicians to join a growing team supporting major clients in the Mackay, Coalfields, and regional Queensland areas. The role is set up as a FIFO role from within QLD. Must Have Special Hazards QBCC License.
Working across installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire protection systems, you'll help safeguard critical infrastructure while gaining highly valued industry skills.
You'll be working with systems such as:
* Fire alarms (including evacuation and emergency lighting)
* VESDA & gaseous fire suppression
* Special hazards systems
Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, service, and maintain fire protection systems
* Troubleshoot faults and ensure compliance with Australian Standards
* Recommend upgrades and improvements to client systems
* Accurately report work progress, KPIs, and site compliance
* Travel to sites across regional Queensland as needed
About You
* QLD Electrical License
* Fire systems experience
* Able to work 5/2, 4/3, or 7/7 rosters (local, FIFO or DIDO)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Drivers Licence
* QBCC licence Special Hazards (must Have)
Nice to have (but not required)
* Knowledge of AS 1851, AS 1670, AS 3000
* Familiarity with brands like Notifier, Vigilant, or other major systems
* Coal Board Medical, Standard 11, and relevant inductions
